Wake Up Call: Cooley Lawyers in Theranos Case Say Holmes Hasn’t Paid Them

  • Cooley lawyers representing Elizabeth Holmes told a court the former CEO of defunct blood-testing startup Theranos hasn’t paid them for over a year for their work on a civil suit and likely never will. They asked to be removed from the lawsuit, according to a report. Holmes, also facing federal conspiracy and fraud charges related to the collapse of the company she founded, has had Williams and Connolly and others working on her criminal defense. (Mercury News)
