The American Bar Association has moved its 2021 midyear meeting to Chicago, citing economic reasons, days after almost 250 ABA members sent a letter protesting Atlanta as a potential conference locale due to Georgia’s recent anti-abortion law.
“The decision to hold the meeting in Chicago will result in significant savings to the ABA and its members due in large part to the fact that its headquarters is located there,” ABA President Bob Carlson said in a statement.
