‘Army of Lawyers’ Bill for Domestic Abuse Victims Nears Passage

Bipartisan legislation mandating that federal district courts promote pro bono legal services for domestic violence survivors awaits final U.S. Senate approval, which one of its sponsors is “confident” will happen soon.

We’d have “an army” of lawyers to help, Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Ala.), told Bloomberg Law, noting the potential impact of the measure nationally if enacted.
