Avenatti Won’t Cough Up IPhone, IPad Passwords to Prosecutors

Michael Avenatti won’t give the U.S. Justice Department the passwords for his Apple desktop computer or for his iPhone, iPad and Apple laptop that have been seized as part of the prosecution of Stormy Daniels’ former attorney.

Avenatti is no under obligation to provide the passwords, his lawyer said in a status report filed Monday in federal court in Santa Ana, California.

The desktop was seized from Avenatti’s residence by prosecutors with the U.S. attorney in Los Angeles who has accused him of bank fraud and embezzling millions of dollars from his clients. The phone, iPad and laptop are in ...
