Bade Confirmed, 37th Trump Appeals Court Nominee to Clear Senate

Bridget Bade won Senate confirmation on Tuesday to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, becoming the 37th circuit court judge appointed by President Donald Trump.

Approved with bipartisan support, 78 to 21, Bade is the fourth Trump appointee to the San Francisco-based Ninth Circuit, which he’s disparaged after adverse rulings in closely watched immigration cases.

Trump has filled more than 20 percent of the 179 federal appeals court seats, fulfilling a key campaign promise to appoint conservative judges.

The American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary gave Bade it’s highest rating of “Well Qualified.” ...
