On the same day Norton Rose Fulbright announced a combination with Chadbourne & Parke, which brings the firm a large presence in the Northeast, its Texas competitor Baker Botts announced that it had hired nine Norton Rose partners in its hometown of Houston.
The group includes David Peterman, former head of Norton Rose Fulbright’s U.S. M&A and securities practice, and Efren Acosta, former head of their Houston corporate and M&A practice, and Robert Phillpott, former head of Norton Rose Fulbright’s U.S. tax practice.
Other partners include Edward Rhyne, Ned Crady, Daniel Mark, Natasha Khan, Ron Scharnberg and Dan Tristan.
