Baker Donelson Disqualified in Allergy Antitrust Case

Baker Donelson was disqualified from defending Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana in an antitrust case brought by its former client, a federal court in Louisiana ruled.

In 2014 the firm represented a group of primary care physicians and their allergy support services provider in matters before the state licensing board and in appealing Blue Cross’s denial of reimbursements for allergy treatments. That is until Blue Cross demanded that Baker Donelson withdraw from challenging the denials because it was concurrently representing Blue Cross, U.S. District Judge Carl J. Barbier of the Eastern District of Louisiana said.
