Philadelphia-based law firm Ballard Spahr has hired Kimberly C. Reed and Hester M. Parrot, formally of Kutak Rock, to expand the firm’s public finance business in the western U.S., the firm in a said a statement.
• Reed and Parrot join Ballard’s Denver office
• In the past year, the firm added 18 lawyers, including eight partners, in Colorado, due in part to mergers with Levine Sullivan Koch & Schulz and Lindquist & Vennum
• Reed focuses on tax-exempt and taxable financing by Colorado special districts
• Parrot specializes in financing for charter schools, non-profits and municipalities
