A Maryland professional baseball team doesn’t have to pay the legal bill a former clubhouse manager incurred in his lawsuit alleging he’d been underpaid and fired in retaliation for complaining, a federal judge ruled.
The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and Michael Dickinson settled out of court for $3,500, and the settlement agreement didn’t mention attorneys’ fees. The lawsuit included claims under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and state law.
