Bausch & Lomb Suit Must ID Law Firm Partner Plaintiff

A law firm partner and her husband can’t use pseudonyms in a suit against Bausch & Lomb Inc. related to the lawyer’s loss of sight, a federal court in Connecticut said.

Concern about economic harm isn’t a sufficient reason to conceal their identities, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut said May 16.

The attorney’s income supports her husband, three minor daughters, and a severely disabled son, according to the court.

The couple, who filed as Jane and Joseph Doe, are suing Bausch & Lomb over alleged problems with its Trulign lenses following Jane Doe’s cataract surgery. She ...
