Boutique Reichman Jorgensen Dangles ‘Cravath’ Pay for Associate Talent

New litigation boutique Reichman Jorgensen is defying M&A trends for small law firms and setting a Big Law scale for associate compensation.

The firm that opened Monday focused on complex litigation and a “strong grouping” of IP cases plans on attracting top talent with an associate pay scale “that will exceed that of Cravath,” Sarah O. Jorgensen, a founding partner, told Bloomberg Law.

Cravath Swain & Moore said this past summer that its base salary for first-year associates would be $190,000 with a $5,000 bonus.
