The U.S. Senate today easily confirmed Kurt Engelhardt to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the 16th Donald Trump appellate nominee to clear the chamber.
Lawmakers in the Republican-controlled chamber voted 62 to 34 to seat Engelhardt, a conservative who’s a federal district judge. He received support from a number of Democrats.
