Coats Returns to King & Spalding After Trump Intelligence Role

Former Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats is rejoining law firm King & Spalding, going to work for its national security team in Washington.

Coats, who will serve as a senior policy adviser at the firm, stepped down from his post in the Trump administration this summer.

The Indiana Republican has a long D.C. resume that also includes two stints in the Senate, serving as the U.S. ambassador to Germany during the Bush administration, and working as a member of Congress.
