Daily Stormer Owes Black Student President $725,000 (Corrected)

American University’s first black female student government president won a $725,000 judgment Aug. 9 against the operators of an American neo-Nazi and white supremacist website for harassment she endured after entering office.

The Daily Stormer published an article soon after Taylor Dumpson’s inauguration that included her name, photo, and links to her Facebook and student government Twitter account, with a call to action for readers to “send her some words of support.” The result was an internet troll storm that inundated Dumpson with racist terms like “chimpout,” “sheboon,” and “coons,” as well as emojis of monkeys and bananas.
