DLA Piper has elected New York-based intellectual property lawyer Frank Ryan to succeed Roger Meltzer and Cameron “Jay” Rains as U.S. chair of the firm.
Ryan, a member of DLA Piper’s executive committee, was elected for a term of four years that will begin on January 1, 2021, according to the firm.
Meltzer and Rains will continue to serve as U.S. co-chairs through the end of 2020. The two will also keep their seats as global co-chair and global co-CEO, respectively, through the end of 2022.
