Eversheds Sutherland has launched an office in Chicago with partners from two Big Law competitors in the international firm’s first geographic expansion since it was created via a 2017 merger.
Eversheds Sutherland’s new office will be led by real estate partner Marc Benjamin, who joins from White & Case’s Chicago office, where he had worked since October. The firm also announced it would hire in June Susan Kai from Kirkland & Ellis, where she is a real estate partner.
Eversheds Sutherland has more than 3,000 lawyers and brought in $1.175 billion in revenue last year.
