Ex-Prosecutor Marc Berger Tapped to Head SEC’s NY Office

New York lawyer Marc P. Berger of Ropes & Gray LLP will join the SEC in January as director of its New York Regional Office, the agency announced today.

Berger, who currently is global co-head of his firm’s Securities and Futures Enforcement Practice, spent 12 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, including as chief of the office’s Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force.
