Facebook Inc. and Twitter Inc. will both send their top lawyers to testify Nov. 1 in front of Congressional committees investigating how Russian state actors used social networks and online platforms to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Facebook General Counsel Colin Stretch and Twitter’s acting General Counsel Sean Edgett will represent their companies, according to the two companies. A spokeswoman for Alphabet Inc.’s Google said the company will testify as well, but declined to comment on whom it will send.
