FCC Readies to Publish Net Neutrality Rollback

• Publication will start clock on legal challenges to order

• Dems also looking to reverse rule relaxation in Congress

The Federal Communications Commission plans to publish an order rolling back its net neutrality rules in the Federal Register Feb. 22, a move that will fuel several legal challenges.

A court victory is likely the best chance the FCC’s opponents have to thwart the agency. No legislation is likely to emerge from a bitterly divided Congress. A Democratic effort to block the FCC under the Congressional Review Act is also unlikely to succeed.
