The Federal Communications Commission is set to scale back its net neutrality rules today, changing how it regulates internet service providers such as AT&T Inc. and Comcast Corp.

The commission is slated to vote to undo its 2015 classification of broadband as a common carrier service akin to traditional telephone service under communications law. GOP Chairman Ajit Pai is also poised to eliminate a raft of related rules governing broadband providers’ network management practices.
