FCC Votes to Open Spectrum for 5G, Internet of Things

The Federal Communications Commission approved rules today to allow wireless carriers and other technology innovators to use high-frequency radio airwaves, laying groundwork for the next evolution of wireless technology expected to support the expanding “Internet of Things.”
