Former SEC Enforcement Chief Khuzami Named No. 2 N.Y. Prosecutor

Robert Khuzami, a former Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement chief, was named to the number two post in the U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan.

Khuzami’s appointment as deputy U.S. attorney was announced Friday by interim U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman, who was named to his post on Jan. 3. Khuzami previously spent 12 years in the office, including three as chief of the securities fraud unit.

Before joining the SEC, he worked as general counsel for Deutsche Bank AG.
