Former Senator Hagan Joins Akin Gump in D.C.

Former Senator Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) has joined Akin Gump’s public law and policy practice in Washington, D.C.

Hagan, who served in the U.S. Senate from 2009 until 2014, joins as a senior policy advisor. She will advise clients on a range of policy issues, with a focus on the healthcare and financial services sectors. Previously, Hagan worked in the financial services industry and served on Senate committees that addressed health and banking issues.

In an interview with Big Law Business, she said that one appealing feature about Akin Gump besides its reputation in public policy is its bipartisan nature.
