Former Top Richmond Va. Prosecutor Herring Joins McGuireWoods

Former longtime Richmond, Va. top prosecutor Michael Herring is starting work at McGuireWoods as a litigation partner.

Herring, who will split his time between the firm’s Richmond and Washington offices, will represent clients in government investigations, commercial litigation, and white-collar defense cases.

Herring, a Democrat, was first elected to be Richmond commonwealth attorney in 2005. He was reelected three times, most recently after running unopposed in 2017. He stepped down from office July 1.
