Freshfields Adds Three to U.S. M&A Practice

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is expanding its U.S. corporate practice at a rapid clip, announcing that it has hired three more attorneys from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

The three, who will be counsel at the firm, follow Freshfields’ nabbing last month of Ethan Klingsberg, also from Cleary, as it positions itself to be among the top U.S. dealmaking advisers.

The newest additions are Andrea Basham, Elizabeth Bieber and Zheng Zhou, who will work in New York. Cleary associate Chase Lax will also join Freshfields, according to the firm.
