Global Compliance Changes Threaten Multinationals

The recentadmissionby a major multinational bank that its internal controls to combat money-laundering remain inefficient highlights a growing dilemma: The global compliance landscape is evolving fast, and multinational companies must have a strategy to keep up or face steep fines.

That’s among the takeaways from a newstudy—the Compliance Complexity Index 2018—that polls legal professionals across 80-plus jurisdictions worldwide to assess the changes involved in doing business in different countries.
