Governors Threaten Suit Over Family Planning Rule

Nearly all Democratic governors signaled their readiness to sue the Trump administration to stop a controversial family-planning proposal from taking effect.

A proposedrulepublished June 1 would change the federal Title X program, which provides family planning and related health services, to bar Title X grantees from performing abortions and prohibit providers from counseling and referring pregnant patients to abortion-services providers.
