N.Y. Copter Crash-Landing Shakes Sidley, Willkie Offices (2)

The New York offices of Sidley Austin and Willkie Farr & Gallagher were among the businesses jolted on Monday when a helicopter crash-landed on the roof of a Midtown skyscraper, killing the pilot.

Both firms said they activated emergency procedures and personnel were evacuated from the AXA Equitable tower at ‪787 Seventh Avenue.

Willkie partner Randall Jackson was at his desk on the 34th floor when the copter hit the roof of the 51-story building in the early afternoon.

“I was just sitting doing work and we felt the entire building just jolt” Jackson told Bloomberg in a phone interview. ...
