Industry Shakers: Ex-White House Lawyer Talks Drones, AI

Ali Zaidi says the legal world is still trying to navigate the tricky intersection of environmental law, autonomous systems, and artificial intelligence.

Zaidi joined Kirkland & Ellis LLP‘s Washington office in late August as of counsel where he handles climate and environmental cases in corporate transactions. He also advises clients on such matters as how to integrate sustainability into their operations and navigate multi-jurisdictional compliance issues.

Increasingly, he told Bloomberg Environment, he is incorporating new forms of technology—including artificial intelligence—into his work.
