Jones Day Grabs Two Lawyers From Big Law, One From the Big Four

Jones Day has added a former Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld energy partner and a former Perkins Coie IP partner to its Washington office along with a tax attorney from PwC.

David Applebaum and Michael Oblon have joined the firm as partners from the competitor law firms. The third lawyer is Amie Colwell Breslow, who joined Jones Day as of counsel in its tax practice.

The additions come at a time when the global firm is in the spotlight for testimony a partner, Don McGahn, gave special prosecutor Robert Mueller III concerning McGahn’s former position as White House counsel. ...
