Kavanaugh Uproar Casts Uncomfortable Spotlight as ABA Struggles

Montana lawyer Robert M. Carlson became president of the American Bar Association in August, and he pledged that he would work every day to advance the rule of law.

“Without the rule of law, there is no justice, and without justice, there is no freedom,” he told those who belong to the 400,000-member group.
