Kirkland Earns $2.6 Million in Fees So Far from Barneys

Kirkland & Ellis has earned more than $2.6 million in fees so far this year as restructuring counsel for Barneys New York, according to new filings in the luxury retailer’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Kirkland received an advanced payment retainer of $200,000 on Jan. 3 and has subsequently received additional advanced retainers totaling $2.63 million, according to a Kirkland filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
