In its latest effort to bolster its private equity practice, Kirkland & Ellis has brought on board the general counsel of Highbridge Capital Management, a New York-based fund owned by JPMorgan.
Joshua Cohen, 37, will join Kirkland’s Chicago office as a partner in its 230-attorney investment funds group, the firm announced on Tuesday.
Outside of his role in-house at Highbridge -- where he held various jobs for 10 years -- he also served as global head of alternatives legal for JPMorgan Asset and Wealth Management.
