Kirkland Picks Up Five Partners From Ropes & Gray

In a boost to its global investigations and enforcement practice, Kirkland & Ellis announced the hire of five new partners, all from Ropes & Gray and located around the globe.

The hires reunite Kirkland with two of its former lawyers -- Asheesh Goel, 44, who departed in 2008 to help launch Ropes & Gray’s Chicago office and later acted as the managing partner of that office; and, Zachary Brez, 45, who departed in 2010 to join Ropes in New York.
