Lawyer Fondled by Client in Court Conference Room Suspended

A lawyer who engaged in sexual misconduct with his client in a courthouse conference room was suspended for up to two years.

The Supreme Court of Ohio July 12 agreed with the disciplinary board’s decision to suspend Brian William Benbow for his underlying misconduct, but also for his dishonest conduct during his disciplinary case.

A lawyer’s conduct during his disciplinary case can be another basis to impose discipline.
