Mayer Brown Plans Tokyo Opening

Mayer Brown is broadening its reach, announcing today that it plans to open a new office in Tokyo, headed by a newly hired partner, to serve its growing number of clients in Japan.

The new office, to be opened in the first half of 2018, will be headed by Rupert Burrows, who had been a corporate partner in the Tokyo office of multinational law firm Ashurst. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions, finance and overseas infrastructure projects.
