Jurors’ right to privacy outweighed lawyer’s right to improve advocacy skills
A lawyer was properly prevented from interviewing jurors three months after they delivered a verdict adverse to his client, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said May 1.
Whatever First Amendment right the lawyer had to discuss his advocacy skills with the jurors was outweighed by the jurors’ right to privacy, the per curiam opinion said.
