Paul Weiss M&A Partner Joins Kirkland in New York

Kirkland & Ellis has added Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison partner David Klein as a partner in its corporate practice group in New York.

Klein joined Paul Weiss in 2011 from Schulte Roth & Zabel, where he spent four years as an associate. He became partner at the Wall Street firm in 2016.

Klein, who represents both public and private companies in M&A transactions and activist defense, worked across the table from Kirkland on several deals over the years. His decision to join Kirkland felt like the right move at the right time, he said.
