Personnel Changes at IP Law Firms, Organization

The following changes in personnel and other news have been announced recently by prominent intellectual property law firms and other IP-related organizations:

F. Scott Kieff, a former commissioner of the International Trade Commission, has joined McKool Smith, Washington, D.C., as a principal.

Tish Berard, former vice president and general counsel for Hearts On Fire Company LLC, Boston, has been elected as the International Trademark Association’s 2018 president and chairman of its board of directors.

Amy Brozenic, an Overland Park, Kansas-based partner in Lathrop Gage LLP‘s intellectual property group, has been elected a member of the International Trademark Association‘s Harmonization of Trademark Law and Practice Committee.

• IP attorney Seth A. Voit has been promoted to partner at Ulmer & Berne LLP, Cincinnati.

• IP attorney Jamie Kurtz has been promoted to principal at Robins Kaplan LLP, Minneapolis.

• IP attorney Bindu A. Palapura has been promoted to partner at Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP, Wilmington, Delaware.

• IP attorney Erik Olson has been promoted to partner at Farella Braun + Martel LLP, San Francisco.

• IP attorney Nikolas Gregor has been promoted to partner at CMS Legal, Hamburg, Germany.

• IP attorney Dan Harkins has been named director of the intellectual property and IP litigation group at Dykema Gossett PLC, San Antonio, Texas.

• IP law firm Greenfield & Sacks PC has promoted Brandon S. Blackwell, Oona M. Johnstone, Daniel T. Wehner, and Daniel W. Young to shareholders.

Adam J. Fromm has been promoted to senior attorney in the intellectual property group of Clark Hill PLC, Chicago.

DLA Piper has named Frank Ryan, based in New York, co-chair of its global intellectual property and technology practice and Ann Ford, based in Washington D.C. and New York, co-chair of its U.S. intellectual property and technology practice.

Christopher C. Anderson, Thomas J. Campbell, Jr., and Katherine Dennis have been promoted to partners in the intellectual property and technology transactions group of Neal Gerber Eisenberg LLP, Chicago.

Perkins Coie LLP has named Steve Bishop in Seattle and Shannon Bloodworth in Washington, D.C. firm wide co-chairs of its intellectual property practice.

• IP and litigation firm Fish & Richardson has promoted eight attorneys to principals: Erin Alper and Jacqueline Tio in Atlanta; Elizabeth Brenckman in New York; Jane Du in Dallas; Joanna Fuller in San Diego; Brian Livedalen in Washington, D.C.; Warren Mabey, Jr. in Wilmington, Delaware; and Neil Warren in Redwood City, California. • Trademark attorney Dydra Donath has left Winter, Brandl, Fürniss, Kaiser, Polte, Munich, to be partner at Mewburn Ellis LLP, Munich.

• Patent lawyer Dennis H. Núñez has left Withrow & Terranova, PLLC, Cary, North Carolina, to be a senior attorney at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, Huntsville, Alabama.

• IP attorney Andrew Solomon, former vice president and assistant general counsel at Perrigo Company PLC, has joined Polsinelli PC, St. Louis, Missouri as of counsel.

• IP attorney Daniel Lano has left IpHorgan Ltd., Buffalo Grove, Illinois, to join Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, Chicago, as an associate in its IP trademark group.
