Quinn Poaches Former UK Prosector For Leadership Role in London

“It used to be a trickle, now I’d say it’s sort of a small stream.”

That’s how Quinn Emanuel’s managing partner in London, Richard East, described the flow of prosecutors out of the U.K.'s Serious Fraud Office — which prosecutes white collar crime — into private practice.

Unlike in the U.S., where federal prosecutors move so seamlessly between private practice and the government, there hasn’t historically been the same movement in the U.K., he said. That makes lawyers in private practice who have SFO experience more valuable.
