Rao Letter Describes ‘Evolution’ After Yale Writings on Rape

Neomi Rao distanced herself from comments about rape she made as an undergraduate student at Yale, in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee Feb. 11.

She wrote to recognize the “unique harms of sexual assault and the evolution in my thinking” over the past two decades, Rao, nominated to take Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s former seat at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, said.
