Retired Judge Posner Continues to Fight for Pro Se Litigant

Retired Seventh Circuit Judge Richard A. Posner requested Dec. 18 to appear as pro bono counsel for a pro se litigant after the Fourth Circuit rejected his request to appear as advisory counsel for him.

Posner filed an appearance of counsel form Dec. 18 after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit denied Posner’s initial request Nov. 28. William C. Bond “adequately presented in the materials before this court,” the Fourth Circuit said in the unpublished opinion denying the advisory counsel request.
