Shearman & Sterling has stepped up its diversity efforts, naming for the first time a diversity and talent strategy officer who reports directly to the firm’s top partner.
The Wall Street firm promoted Sandra Bang, a Canadian lawyer, to become its first chief diversity and talent strategy officer. She was previously in charge of the New York-based firm’s talent recruitment, retention and development programs.
