Mayer Brown has hired David Wang as an intellectual property partner in its Palo Alto office.

Wang leaves Winston & Strawn where he was a partner. His practice focuses on complex litigation and cross licensing in electrical engineering and high technology for U.S. and Asian companies. In particular, he litigates patent infringement and trade secret suits and adversarial patent licensing negotiations.

Wang has represented Fujitsu Limited; Mitsubishi Electric Corp.; Toshiba; Cadence Design Systems; and Universal Instruments Corp., and was trial counsel for Acer Inc. in a patent dispute with Hewlett Packard Inc. His clients typically are in Japan, China and Taiwan and include Rohm Co. ...
