Steptoe Launches Hong Kong Office with Clifford Chance Laterals

Steptoe & Johnson is launching a new Hong Kong office, its second Asia outpost, with the lateral hires of partners Wendy Wysong and Ali Burney.

Wysong, who heads the new office, specializes in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act defense and other anti-corruption matters and has significant experience handling economic sanctions cases brought by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, a unit of the U.S. Treasury Department. She’ll also be maintaining an office in Washington, where Steptoe is headquartered.
