Tesla to Appeal Safety Citations for ‘Paperwork Concerns’

Tesla Inc. plans to appeal worker safety citations it received following a complaint inspection at one of its California factories.

California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health issued five general citations Jan. 17 with proposed fines totaling $4,455 after the inspections opened last October.

The alleged violations, many of which are related to chemical safety training, are similar to complaints against the carmaker that the San Francisco Chronicle reported on in August.
