The Delaware Bench’s Changing Makeup in 2019

Delaware’s bench saw big changes in 2019 as the Chancery Court expanded and the top judge on the state’s highest court retired.

The First State added two new seats on its Court of Chancery, bringing the total number of judges on that court from six to eight. Here’s a look at who took a new seat, got promoted, or retired in 2019:

Morgan T. Zurn and Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick donned their judicial robes in January 2019, filling two newly-created seats in Delaware’s Court of Chancery as vice chancellors.
