Trade Secrets Dispute Settled by Ex-Partners Raytheon, Peraton

• Peraton was likely to show trade secret misappropriation, court ruled

• Peraton, Raytheon had been partners seeking government contracts

Raytheon Co. and Peraton Inc., former partners in bidding for certain government contracts, reached a settlement ending their dispute involving allegations of trade secret misappropriation, a district court said.Terms weren’t disclosed.

Peraton, which accused Raytheon of breach of contract, was likely to demonstrate that Raytheon would misappropriate Peraton’s trade secrets if it pursued government contracts valued at $400 million, the court said in a November 2017 order.

The companies had entered into teaming agreements to bid on the contracts, known as “Grimlock” and “Broadside.” ...
