Trial Lawyer Jumps from Boies Schiller to Steptoe (Corrected)

Steptoe & Johnson has grabbed first-chair trial lawyer Robyn Crowther from Boies Schiller Flexner, a firm that rarely loses partners to other shops.

Steptoe announced Jan. 16 that Crowther, whose practice is primarily focused on complex commercial disputes, will serve as co-managing partner of Steptoe’s office in Los Angeles. She arrived at Boies Schiller in 2017 after the firm bought her longtime employer, California litigation boutique Caldwell Leslie & Proctor.

“My decision was really about coming to Steptoe, not leaving Boies Schiller and colleagues who I worked with for more than 20 years,” she told Bloomberg Law in an email. ...
