<-bsp-person state="{"_id":"0000016d-5ef6-d1b4-a7fd-5efeaea00000","_type":"00000160-6f41-dae1-adf0-6ff519590003"}">Dmitry Firtash, a wealthy Ukrainian and onetime business partner of Paul Manafort who is facing extradition to the U.S. on corruption charges, has hired a legal team with close ties to President <-bsp-bb-link state="{"bbHref":"bbg://screens/BBIO%201252249","_id":"0000016d-5ef6-d1b4-a7fd-5efeaea00002","_type":"0000016b-944a-dc2b-ab6b-d57ba1cc0000"}">Donald Trump.

The lawyers retained by Firtash are Victoria Toensing and Joseph diGenova, according to representatives for Firtash and for the attorneys.

The husband-and-wife team were vocal critics of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election and have voiced support for Trump in the news media and in frequent appearances as legal commentators on Fox News.
